What our TEFL trainees have said about our courses...

After my studies with you, I got a job in my town at a Wall Street Institute centre, where I worked for two years. Everything I learned with you helped me in my job. Thank you! I was so well-trained and qualified thanks to your training that my old boss keeps calling me and asking when I'll be coming back!

Sylvia Guillon - Windsor centre in May of 2002

Hi all,

I really appreciate the benefits of completing the TESOL course, and I am finding that I have much more confidence in the preparation and the procedures of each lesson. It was a good decision to enrol for the course with Windsor Schools and really appreciate all the support that both you and the other tutors provided. Please say hi to everybody. Warm regards,

Rod Pallister

I had an interesting, eventful 3 years since I got my Windsor Schools TESOL. Last year I went the full hog and relocated to China to teach teenagers studying IGCSEs and A-Levels, and now I'm in Vietnam waiting to start a job at RMIT Saigon. I miss England but I guess there's enough time for me to travel a bit more before an inevitable return to the Big Smog. Thanks for your help, and I hope things are OK on your end too! All the best,

Andrei Tabirca

I'd like to thankyou for enroling me on the TESOL course in Madrid (July 2006)!! I met some wonderful people and the teaching staff far exceeded my expectations, a truly fantastic experience. I'm living in Madrid and start work as an English Teacher on Monday Oct 2nd.

"And genuinely, thank you for always replying so quickly and not getting angry with all the emails I send! I'm not sure if you read my application form but one of the reasons I chose Windsor Schools was because you were so good at getting back to me with info."

Sarah Gillett - Seville 23rd October 2006

Hi Ashley,

It's been one year plus on since I completed the Trinity College TESOL training course from Windsor Schools. The program provided an excellent qualification, and I am currently re-evaluating my options as an English Teacher living abroad, but I am finding the research and information available on the internet a bit overwhelming.

It is becoming increasingly clear, that I could really use some trustworthy assistance in this process and wanted to ask if work is still regularly offered to trainees from Windsor?

I am especially interested in the job-search service which has been used in the past with EF (English First). I remember a recruiter from EF speaking with us on the last few days of our training regarding teaching opportunities. Any guidance for recruitment agencies or additional information you could supply to me would be extremely helpful, thank you for your time and I look forward to your reply.

Christopher Ortiz 3rd May 2006 London.

Dear Ashley,

I doubt if you remember me because it has been over 3 years since I did my TESOL at your school (Feb. 2003). I'd just like to say thanks for the training your team gave me. I still have fond memories.

I am now the Director of Studies for The British Institute Jakarta. Please send my regards to the team that trained me if they're still there.

Many thanks, Eddie Wilsher

Just wanted to let you know that I will start my first ever teaching job with East Berks College in Windsor this coming Monday! They are letting me loose with an intermediate evening class on Mondays, only 2.5 hrs / week but it is a start.

So thank you all for your support and loads of wonderful things you have taught me only a month ago!

Best wishes,

Alex Madden-Windsor December 2005

I wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed the experience of taking the TEFL course at Windsor.  It's something I will never forget, very challenging and rewarding.

This is just a quick hello from Lee Farrington. I graduated from the Windsor centre in December 2004. I am currently working in Hangzhou, China. It's a great city with fantastic natural beauty in the West Lake area of the city. It's also very cheap to live here. It's a very modern city and you can get almost everything you can get at home. This also means horrible things like KFC, McDonald's and Pizza Hut. I work for EF. I started in March and have taught a real variety of different classes. I have taught children from 7-11 and 11-15. I also have taught many adult classes.

In September I changed my contract and began working for the Corporate Language Traing department at EF Hangzhou, east. This kind of work suits me better. I teach at companies such as Nokia, Philips, BP/Sinopec, Radisson and various other large companies. It's a real learning curve.

Thankfully, I have a lot of support from colleagues and management. We have great resources here, too. I don't think this would have been possible if it had not been for the excellent training I received at Windsor. How is everything going there? I can't believe it's been nearly a year since I graduated. Is Garry still with you? If so, pass on my best wishes.

By the way, if any of your graduates would like a job here, they can apply directly for a position. I know that they are almost guaranteed a position because of the quality of training they receive there. They will get a free flat, airfare, and visa if they come here. It's a great place to build up experience in TEFL and It's a great place to be at the moment.

China is nothing like you would imagine it to be.

You recently helped me onto the TEFL course in Barcelona and I would like to say thanks. Not only have I passed with a repectable grade but I´ve got immediate work thru Windsor.

Thanks for your part in that.

All the best

"After gaining my Trinity Certificate at Windsor TEFL I spent the next few weeks looking for something different in teaching rather than the usual visit to China or the Far East . After a while I found a vacancy in Surgut, Central Siberia, Russian Federation, which is about as far away from anywhere else on the planet as it is possible to be on land.

Surgut is an amazing boom town based on vast oil reserves and without a TEFL certificate I would never have met some of the most delightful, charming and hospitable people nor the astonishing students whose commitment to learning English is a reward in itself. I found my initial visit of two months so worthwhile that I am now in the midst of a second tour of duty until June next 2006 so I shall be happily spending the winter in Siberia amidst temperatures which reach minus 50C.

Not perhaps everyones ideal posting but something very few people have done and something which will be a very fond memory in years to come.

I can only thank Windsor TEFL and Trinity for providing this unusual opportunity to work in a strange and out -of -the-ordinary place."

How are things going in oxford? I am thinking about you quite a lot recently as I am working for the Wall Street Institute in Italy and people tell me that it looks like I had a very good teacher for my teaching training. It's true, I wanted to thank you, I always try to follow your advices regarding teaching and your happy and wonderful approach!

Everything was very well organized and I will never forget it. On Friday I will have another interview for the same company but this time is in Rome, and the position is far better!

I am going to have to do a presentation for my interview preparing a lesson plan on the differences between present perfect and past simple without using any grammar rules! Well obviously I am going to have to teach as well and they're going to observe me!

I am really nervous 'cause I really want that new job! Let's hope for the best!

I hope you are all very happy and everything is going wonderfully well, say hi to Clare and Rebbecca!

Kisses from your ex Italian student,

Valentina
